position of Principal Harpist with most of Britains
Orchestras including all the BBC Orchestras, the
Halle, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and the Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra as well as being principal
harpist for the Malaga Symphony Orchestra. |

in 1995, Russell Gillespie and Lauren Scott are both
freelance musicians based in Cheshire, UK. The duo
presents entertaining and varied programmes,
delighting audiences with its musical rapport and
have released two CDs, including world premiere
recordings of works for flute and harp. |

During her
time at college Amy performed with various
ensembles, including a performance with the
New Ensemble for The South Bank Show.
An award winning harpist, Amy also plays
regularly at weddings and functions and is
also available as a harp and clarinet duo.
As far as
repertoire Amy says she can play anything
from 'Bach to the Beatles' - in fact pretty
much anything except heavy metal!

The Manchester String Quartet
was formed
in 2000 and made its city debut in 2003 giving a
performance at the old University Music department's
concert hall as guests of the Lindsay String Quartet
in the Ida Carroll Lunchtime concert series. All
four members are University Graduates and have all
studied at the Royal Northern College of Music.
